For the upcoming book 'Drakeblood' I made a small print run available for a limited time.
From December 1st 2021 to March 1st, 2022 the print run will be determined by the number of buyers, max 20 . Afterwards a new print will be made available from 1 March till 1 June, meaning the framed work shown here will be no longer available.

This print run is created for the continuation of the project / photobook and for you to enjoy a little part of the project too ♥︎.

Een aantal weken geleden heb ik in opdracht van het Haags Gemeentearchief een portretten reeks mogen maken voor het project ‘Geloven in Verandering’. Die de komende weken zal verschijnen Online, in boekvorm met uiteindelijk een fietsroute door Den Haag.

Zoals hier het portret van Mustafa voor Mescidi Aksa moskee.
Wisten jullie dat in de jaren 80 een groep Turkse moslims de leegstaande voormalige synagoge in het huidige Chinatown heeft gekraakt? Overigens netjes met medeweten van de toenmalige eigenaren, de Joodse Gemeente, die zelfs de stroom niet had afgesneden voor de actievoerders en het leegstaande gebouw graag aan de Turkse groep wilde verkopen.

Dankbaar dat ik weer mijn eigen stad in beeld heb mogen brengen en de personen met hun prachtige verhalen die hierbij horen.

A few weeks ago I was commissioned by the Hague Municipal Archive to make a series of portraits for the project 'Geloven in Verandering' (Religion in alter).

Which will appear in the coming weeks Online, a book and eventually as a cycling route exhibition

such as the portrait of Mustafa in front of the Mescidi Aksa mosque. Did you know that in the 1980s a group of Turkish Muslims squatted the empty former synagogue in today's Chinatown? By the way, neatly with the knowledge of the then owners, the Jewish Community, which had not even cut off the power for the activists and wanted to sell the empty building to the Turkish group.

Grateful that I was able to portray my own city again and the people with their beautiful stories that belong to it. @haagsgemeentearchief
